About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Schwabe, M.A., BCBA, R.C.C.

REGISTERED CLINICAL COUNSELLOR · BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). With an M.A. degree from Florida Institute of Technology, I have been fortunate to work with children, adolescents, young people, and their caregivers across a variety of settings, including community mental health, public schools, and private clinics. I value building supportive relationships and helping each person feel understood, respected, and comfortable throughout the process.

Since 2007, much of my professional experience has included working with children, adolescents, and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. I have also provided counselling to neurodivergent and neurotypical adolescents and young adults in areas including anxiety, depression, autism and neurodiversity, emotional regulation, social and communication skills, independence skills, and life transition skills.

I strive to offer a calming, caring, and respectful environment where clients can feel comfortable being themselves. My approach is individualized and may draw from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behaviour Analysis, mindfulness-based practices, and more.
